P.A. Starck Baby Grand Piano (serial number: 151937)

The P.A. Starck Piano Company was founded in Chicago in 1891.  Starck upright pianos were known for great sound because of their bent acoustic rim.  Starck closed business in 1965.

This piano is a P.A. Starck baby grand piano.  This piano has a beautiful cabinet with few blemishes.  The key tops which were ivory have been removed and need to be placed.  There is also an ebony key top missing.  Some action problems require repairs.  The piano should cost about $400 to bring to a serviceable condition.  The sound quality should be excellent shen the piano is repaired.

The piano would sell for about $5000 in excellent condition.  If this piano were repaired without fixing blemishes to the cabinet and replacing the strings, it would bring about $3500.  The owner is asking $3000 for this piano.
